Based on 2012 revenues DSV has been ranked no. 6 by The Journal of Commerce
It is satisfying that we have maintained our position based on organic growth and sensible acquisitions. We are trying to be the best third party logistics provider in the world, but size matters and our largest customers appreciate that we are among the top 10 in size as well, says Jens Bjrn Andersen, CEO of DSV.
According to Journal of Commerce, DSV obtained its revenue in a market where the combined growth rate for the companies rated among top 40 was 0.1 percent in 2012. US based companies grew at a larger rate than European based companies primarily due to a 7.6 percent decline in the value of the Euro against the US Dollar. The revenue of DSV grew with 2.75 percent in 2012.
The companies ranked higher than DSV on the list are: DHL Logistics, Kuehne + Nagel, DB Schenker Logistics, C.H. Robinson Worldwide and CEVA Logistics.
